Our History

The congregation of franciscan sisters of the good shepherd began through the inspired vision of Rev.Sr.Angelica Obaga. Driven by the deep desire to serve the Lord in a new call in the vineyard of the Lord. The congregation's humble beginnings were marked by the establishment of a rented house in migosi estate, kisumu city,which served as the first community and Novitiate.

Sr. Angelica Obaga,formerly of the Franciscan Sisters of St.Joseph-Asumbi was driven by a desire to serve the mission of the Lord in a new way,she voluntarily departed her former congregation in 1984 to descern a new call in the vineyard of the Lord
